The Kurdish YPG militia handed over nearly 50 young men in Manbij after a storming and arrest campaign against a number of the residents of al-Khafsa, Deir Hafer, and Maskanah, who had fled their towns after capturing them by the regime, NSOO observatory, which deals with the documentation of Democratic Union Party, the Syrian branch of the Turkish PKK, stated.
Dirar Khattab, a journalist at the observatory, said to Baladi News that these men were not convicted of any crimes and were arrested for interrogation into a series of assassinations in Manbij.
Khattab revealed that some of those extradited are military defaulters. They have been sent to undergo preparatory courses to be pushed later in battle fronts. The dissidents, on the other hand, have been violently tortured at Assad’s prisons and will be also sent to fight for the regime nine months later.
The speaker indicated that the total number of the extradited is 50. Only 4 of them were released because they are not wanted by the intelligence and the army.
When asked about any agreements concluded between the two sides, the journalist indicated that “communications between PYD and the regime had not been interrupted, but were promoted to a direct coordination, especially after handing over a number of towns from SDF to the regime and the establishment of Russian headquarters in Afrin and Kafr Jannah.
