Many reports have spread recently denoting that FSA factions are about to launch a military operation against regime forces and their allied Iranian, Lebanese, and Iraqi militias in the Syrian desert, according to the media spokesman of Jaysh Maghawier al-Thawra "al-Baraa Fares", who refused to give any further information due to military reasons.
Fares gave some details exclusively to Baladi News saying: "the battle will be supported by the International coalition forces whether on ground or through air support, especially in the regions of al-Tanef in the Syrian desert". He also noted that FSA factions have decided to deal with all pro-regime militias as being enemies regardless of their supporters.
It's noteworthy that pro-regime militias have advanced over the past weeks on many locations in the Syrian desert, the most important of which were Zaza checkpoint and al-Zalfa dam despite warnings by the International coalition to stay away from those regions, but when the militias didn't respond to those warnings, the coalition bombarded and destroyed one of their convoys in the Syrian desert.
