Baladi News, al-Raqqah
Activists have launched a campaign on the social networking sites with the hashtag #al_Raqqah_IS_Losing_Its_People to shed light on the suffering of the governorate and its residents due to the hectic conflict between ISIS and SDF militias that are seeking to control the city under the support of the International coalition led by the US.
The activist "Ayham al-Ahmad" said that: "al-Raqqah is losing dozens of martyrs on a daily basis and despite being the most city that is subjected to the terrorism of ISIS and PYD militias, nobody seems to be interested in the suffering of the people of al-Raqqah even from the pro-revolution Syrians and media means.
It's worth mentioning that the residents of al-Raqqah are suffering from a stifling siege by ISIS where people are prevented from exiting the city despite the bombardment and the lack of basic supplies, including water, electricity and medication. On the other hand, SDF militias are adding to the suffering of the residents by arresting most of those who are fleeing the city and putting them in "Nazi-like arresting camps" as described by some activists.
