International coalition warplanes conducted several airstrikes on al-Mayadeen city in Deir ez-Zour eastern countryside on Wednesday, local media sources reported, adding that the death toll of the attacks reached 11 civilians, whereas 14 others were wounded.
Assad’s regime warplanes also targeted Mhaimdah town west from Deir ez-Zour city killing 3 civilians from one family (a father, mother, and child) and destroying their house as well as a number of surrounding shops.
In addition, a civilian was killed and three members of his family were wounded in regime airstrikes on al-Mowazzafin neighborhood within Deir Ez-Zour city.
On the other hand, a mortar shelling by ISIS killed 3 and wounded others in Wadi Street of al-Houra neighborhood of Deir Ez-Zour.
On the ground, ISIS waged a massive offense to expand its controlled areas at the expense of Assad’s regime and militias.
Ahmad Ramadan, executive director at Furat Post Media Organization, informed Baladi News that ISIS controlled strategic points in Al-Baghiliyya and al-Rasafa as well as the Naqshbandi Farms in Howaika.
It is noteworthy that ISIS had launched its most violent attack early this year. The attack had enabled ISIS to control the Graveyards area and the mountain in the outskirts of Deir Ez-Zour, separate between the regime-controlled areas in the east and west, and isolate the military airport from the other regime-controlled areas.
