"Jaysh Ahrar al-Ashayer", one of the FSA formations, has launched a "Burkan al-Badiah" battle to expel the Iranian militias and all other foreign militias that are fighting alongside regime forces in the Syrian desert, according to the FSA statement that was issued on Monday.
In this regard, the writer and journalist Firas Alawy said to Baladi News that " Jaysh Ahrar al-Ashayer is formed mostly of the residents of eastern Qalamoun, al-Rihaybah, al-Doumair and other regions".
Alawy added that: "Other FSA-affiliated formations in the Syrian desert are ready to participate in the battle such like (Maghawer al-Thawra, Jaysh al-Ashayer, Usud al-Sharqiya, and Ahmad al-Abdo forces). Those formations are active on other fronts of the Syrian desert and they are doing well in fighting regime forces and its militias in the region of al-Tanef". He also confirmed that those formations are working on cutting the road before the Shiite militias that are expanding on more than one region in the Syrian desert.
It's worth mention that regime forces and their allied sectarian militias backed by Iran are working on controlling more regions in the Syrian desert in order to control the road of Baghdad-Damascus and cut the road before FSA formations near the Syrian-Jordanian borders in spite of the repeated warnings by the international coalition who is leading a special operation room in al-Tanef in preparation for another battle towards Deir al-Zor.
