Media sources in As-Suwayda countryside revealed that Assad’s regime forces brought a new militia, known as Saraya al-Tawhid and led by the Lebanese parliament representative Wiam Wahhab, to fight against the Syrian rebels.
The militia started to deploy alongside the regime forces in the battle fronts bordering As-Suwayda province on Sunday morning.
Established in 2016, the militia is constituted of Druz fighters from Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria, whereas another one had been established earlier in 2013.
It is noteworthy that Druz militias first appeared in battles alongside Assad’s regime against the Free Syrian Army in Mount Hermon in 2013. They joined al-Hadar town battles in Quneitra province countryside late in 2016 as well as
