The Syrian refugee (Khitam Zriek) died in front of the charitable Islamic hospital in the city of Tripoli in Lebanon after the hospital's administration refused to allow her in as an emergency condition, which caused a spate of discontent towards this behavior against the Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
Lebanese media websites reported the incident, which is not the first, saying that the patient died at the door of the Islamic hospital after being refused to be treated. Khitam arrived at the hospital in a critical condition and needed an operation to take water out of her abdomen, but the administration refused to allow her in and she waited long hours for the permission to get in.
The sources reported that the hospital's administration pretended that they didn't allow the patient in because they were waiting for the approval of the insurance company "Next Care", which is authorized by Syrian refugees' relief bodies in Lebanon, while some activists have shared a footage showing the rejection of one of the patients' sons to allow the entry of his mom to the hospital after her death, denouncing the hospital's attitude towards the critical situation of his mom before her death.
This attitude was largely denounced on the social networking websites as people condemned the situation of Syrian people who are facing many hardships to get treatment or simply live in Lebanon, amidst grave harassments against them and imposing a lot of restriction on their existence, work and movement.
