Baladi News correspondents have documented many violations in a number of Syrian governorates following the implementation of the "de-escalation" zones agreement which was agreed upon in Astana-4 meeting under the auspices of Russia, Iran and Turkey.
Baladi News correspondent in Hama's countryside "Shahoud Jadoua" reported that Iranian and Iraqi militias who are supporting Assad regime have launched an attack on the village of al-Zallaqiyat in the northern countryside of Hama, but the attack was repelled by the revolutionary factions after hours of clashes that contained till Saturday morning. He added that the clashes coincided with an artillery bombardment on the village of al-Zallaqiyat and the city of al-Lataminah, along with airstrikes by Assad regime on the same city, followed by a helicopter bombardment with barrel bombs.
In the countryside of Homs, Baladi News correspondent "Usamah Abo Zaid" said that the regime's warplanes have breached the agreement by bombarding the town of Teir Maalah with barrel bombs, adding that regime forces bombarded the city of Talbiseh on Saturday morning with heavy artillery.
Our correspondent in Damascus "Fadi Sayrafi" reported that regime forces bombarded on Saturday with explosive hoses the neighborhood of al-Qaboun east of Damascus, concurrently with an intensive artillery bombardment in order to break into the neighborhood, but the repels foiled the attack after clashes between the two parties.
In Daraa, our correspondent said that regime forces have been bombarding for the whole night the liberated neighborhoods of the city of Daraa with heavy artillery, adding that they have also bombarded with artillery and the tanks' shells the towns of Alma, al-Ghariyah al-Sharqiyah and al-Sourah in the countryside of Daraa which resulted in a massive destruction.
Representatives of the countries sponsoring Astana talks on Syria (Russia, Turkey, and Iran) have signed a memorandum of understanding concerning the establishment of de-escalation zones in Syria and agreed that the new date of the upcoming round of talks will be held mid of July.
The de-escalation zones will be applied on the entire governorates of Idlib, Lattakia, Aleppo, and parts of the governorates of Homs, Daraa and al-Quneitra, in addition to the eastern Ghouta of Damascus countryside.
