76,000 migrants left Turkey towards Eu: Turkish Ministry of Interior

76,358 illegal migrants have left the Turkish city of Edirne towards Eu countries since the evening of Thursday, Turkish Minister of Interior announced Sunday on his official Twitter.

Most of the migrants are Syrians, the minister said.

This refugee influx has started in the evening of Thursday following an announcement by Ankara that it will stop refugees from crossing into Europe.

It's noteworthy that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier that his country - which hosts 3.6 million Syrians-can't handle a new wave of refugees and called on the EU states to fulfill their promises to Turkey regarding the refugees' issue.
