The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that Russian and Turkish forces conducted a new joint patrol in the countryside of Al-Darbasiyah and Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye).

The patrol started from Sherik crossing on the border with Turkey and toured areas in Abu Rasin, Zahr Al-Arab, Kasra, Tawrat, Ta’allak, Otayshan and Dalik, before it returned back to Sherik, according to SOHR.

This is the 24th patrol of its kind to be run since joint patrols between the Turks and the Russians started in early November.

On January 27, SOHR activists reported that Turkish and Russian forces conducted a new joint patrol within the north-eastern region of Syria.

The patrol was launched this morning from Sherik border crossing in Derbasiya countryside and went to Kasra area in rural Ras al-Ain (Sari Kani), before returning to the villages of Turat, Ta’alik and Atishan and then to Sherik crossing, SOHR pointed out.

The patrol was escorted by two Russian helicopters that were flying over the area.
