Iraq Denies Claims of Attempts to Receive ISIS Families from Syria

BALADI NEWS

Iraq has denied claims of attempts to receive any families of the Islamic State (ISIS) members from a Syrian camp.

A few days ago, Human Rights Watch (HRW) revealed that Iraqi authorities at the Jadah camp in southern Mosul city were making preparations for receiving a great number of newcomers from Syria's al-Hol camp.

Meanwhile, a member of the Iraqi Parliament said on Friday that the federal government was planning to transfer the families of the IS insurgents.

However, the Ministry of Displacement and Migration rejected on Saturday all the claims and pointed out that Iraq has no such plans.

It's noteworthy that dozens of Iraqi families live in al-Hol camp which is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
