At least 55 troops from coastal Latakia and Tartus provinces killed in June as regime forces wage major offensive to recapture northwestern Syria, pro-regime activists said.
The death toll included 34 troops from Tartus and 21 more from Latakia, main stronghold for Bashar al-Assad's manpower.
At least 17 army officers were among the deaths, 6 from Tartus and 11 from Latakia.
Since the beginning of northwest Syria offensive late April, regime air strikes have killed more than 500 civilians, while fighting has killed 682 pro-regime forces and 821 rebels and jihadists, according to AFP.
Rebels and jihadists have killed more than 130,000 pro-regime forces since the armed conflict erupted eight years ago with the brutal repression of protests against Bashar al-Assad, according to local monitoring groups.
