The Iranian regime Railway Company has announced that the port of "Imam Khomeini" on the Iranian side of the Gulf will be linked with the Syrian port of Latakia in the Mediterranean Sea.
Saed Rasoli, director of the Iranian Railway Company has said in a meeting in Tehran with the directors of the Assad and Baghdad railway companies that the project of linking the Iranian city of of Shalma with the Iraqi city of Basra will start in about three months. It will be funded and carried out by the Iranian regime, according to the Iranian Al-Alam TV.
The Assad director of the Syrian Railway Company, Najib Fares, described the Shalmja project with “The Big Project”.
The Assad regime media outlets have always praised their relationship with the Iranian regime, confirming the presence of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in most areas of the Syria where these Iranian sectarian militias expelled and displaced the Syrian opposition fighters along with their families from their cities and home towns.
