The Israeli intelligence firm, ImageSat International (ISI), yesterday released satellite images claimed to show “the complete destruction of a possible Iranian surface-to-surface missile factory” in Syria’s Masyaf District, allegedly struck by Israel on Saturday.
“The main industrial structures were completely destroyed, including the main hangar and the adjacent three production hangars and buildings. The rest of the structures were affected and damaged by the blast,” the firm said, adding that they “assess that all the elements and/or equipment which were inside are completely destroyed as well.”
Israeli Intel Times news site yesterday reported that the Israeli attack which occurred at 2:30am destroyed dozens of Iranian-made “Earthquake 2” missiles.
According to the site, the Iranian missiles carried warheads weighing up to half a tonne, which could be improved to increase accuracy and range
The site claimed that Iran took advantage of the Israeli elections and delivered two shipments to the military airport in Tifur, Syria.
Meanwhile, Syrian local media reported that the Israeli air forces carried out air strikes against army positions near the city of Masyaf in the Hama province which destroyed some buildings and wounding 25 people.
