The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said that Iran has military sleeper cells which aim to ruin the area east and west of Euphrates.
Reliable sources expressed concern to SDF about the expansion of these cells in the region, adding that the Iranians are seeking to form cells within some Arab tribes, and dragged them to their ranks collectively, through some of the heads of the tribes.
The most significant tribes supported by Tehran are: al-Bakarahm and al-sharabyeen, as well as Al-Waldeh tribe in the suburbs of Raqqa, Deir Ezzor, and Hassakeh, the sources pointed out.
The "The Wall Street Journal" revealed in an article the Iranian efforts in Syria to establish a long-term influence by spreading its Shiite doctrine in the country, by providing services to civilians, the most important of which are food and money. The main objective of this is to revive the Persian Empire in the region .
