Syrian regime forces and allies have committed 5,042 violations since the Sochi agreement entered into force on 27 September 2018 until 27 March, the Anadolu Agency reported.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights said in a report that the violations resulted in the deaths of 280 civilians, including 96 children and 48 women.

The report pointed out that the Syrian regime forces are responsible for 4,996 violations, while the Russian forces committed 46 violations during the said period.

The report held the Syrian regime responsible for the deaths of 197 civilians, of whom 77 children – including one infant – and 39 women, while the Russian forces were responsible for killing 83 civilians, including 19 children and nine women.

In September 2018, Turkey and Russia reached an agreement aimed at consolidating a ceasefire in Idlib province. Under the agreement, the opposition withdrew its heavy weapons from the area the following month.
