US sends more military air crafts to Lebanon

The Orient Net published that four military aircraft were delivered to the Lebanese army, on Wednesday (June 13), to complete the delivery of six aircraft promised by the US.

Lebanon’s army commander General Joseph Aoun said the delivery marked an "important and significant step" being part of the efforts to develop the army’s capacity.

The first two planes were delivered to Lebanon in October 2017. They represented a big upgrade for the Lebanese Armed Forces, a security source in Lebanon said at the time.

The planes will be used as armed observation aircraft.

The aircraft delivery is a sign of continued US support despite Israeli accusations that the Lebanese military is controlled by Hezbollah.

It’s worth reminding that the Hezbollah terror group entered the Syrian soil without the approval of the Lebanese government where the group’s members killed and tortured thousands of Syrians who opposed the Assad regime’s rule.
