UNICEF said in report issued on Monday at least 13 children have been killed since last Thursday, in the attacks which targeted neighborhoods within the de-escalation areas in Idlib Province, north of Syria.
Geert Cappelaere, UNICEF Regional Director in the Middle East and North Africa said in a statement that 9 children have been killed in an attack on the village of Zaradna north of Idlib, where it was targeted by several raids by Russian air force, which caused death for 51 civilians.
Cappelaere clarified that Idlib is home to nearly 1 million children, many of them displaced from other parts of the country. With nowhere left to go, families have sought refuge in collective shelters and schools.
