Baladi - Monitors
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of violent clashes between the regime forces supported by the gunmen loyal to them; against members of the “Islamic State” organization starting from the Syrian Desert to the northeastern countryside of al-Suwaidaa until al-Bokamal Desert in the eastern Countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The SOHR documented the rise of number of casualties in the ranks of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities to at least 27, including 14 Syrian nationality members, in addition to the raise of number of casualties of the organization to 16, all of them were killed during the clashes that have been taking place in the area since dawn of today, Friday.
Thus, the number of documented deaths by the SOHR raises to 1190, in the provinces of Damascus, Deir Ezzor and Homs, where it rose to 723, the number of members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them who were killed in the clashes in al-Bokamal Desert, the countryside of Deir Ezzor, south of the capital Damascus and the eastern outskirts of Homs.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights added that 467 at least, the number of members of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in the same battles, since the recovery of the Organization in the 13th of March 2018, also tens of others of both parties were killed and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, in addition to the presence of missing members and captives in the ranks of the both parties.
Among the total number of casualties the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of at least 193 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, 2 of them were executed and 9 of them are of the Russian Forces, during clashes and confrontations accompanied by detonating members of the “Islamic State” organization for themselves using booby trapped vehicles and explosive belts in the clash sites.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also documented the death of 96 members of the organization in these clashes, which have been carried out suddenly in the eastern countryside of Homs and Deir Ezzor since the 22nd of May 2018 until today.
