Floods have hit the camps Yazi Bag and Sajo, in Azaz city of northern countryside of Aleppo, on the borders of Turkey, pushing most of the displaced people in the camp to fell towards other areas.
Haitham Jabr, a rescuer of the civil defense in Sajo said to Baladi News the floods that hit both camps was a result of the continuous rain falling that lasted for more than a week, where random the camps located to the west of Sajo's camp had witnessed massive floods, that led to the drowning of most of the tents, and caused big damage in the furniture inside the tents, under grave humanitarian conditions in the displaced camps.
"We, in the civil defense, are unable to provide anything except for rescuing the people," Jabr added, "and this is due to the aggravation of the catastrophe, where the level of the water in some parts of the camps was higher than one meter, regardless the muddy ground, since the camps located in inconvenient agricultural lands, without any water drains.
