The Syrian Network for Human Rights published a report on Tuesday that says the helicopters of Assad's regime threw 761 barrel bombs during April, pointing out that Assad's regimes continues using barrel bombs against civilians, and recently was used in the south of the capital Damascus.
The report documented the barrels on the Syrian cities as the following:
387 barrels on the countryside of Damascus, most of which on the eastern Ghouta,
315 barrels on the towns of southern Damascus,
41 barrels on the countryside of Homs,
12 barrels on the countryside of Idlib,
and 6 barrels on the governorate of Idlib.
According to the record, the barrels caused the death of 59 civilians in April, including 16 children and 22 women. 45 of them in Damascus' countryside, 10 in Homs and 4 in Idlib. They also caused destruction of a medical center and a mosque.
The Network documented a chemical massacre committed by the helicopters of Assad's regime using barrel bombs that carried chemical agents in the city of Douma, in April 7th. The death toll of the massacre was around 41 civilians, including 12 children and 15 woman.
The Syrian Network said since the beginning of 2018 Assad's regime targeted the civilians with more than 2388 barrel bombs. 427 barrel bombs in January, 407 in February, 793 in March and finally 761 in April.
