More than 500 members of the regime and its militias killed in south of Damascus

More than 500 personnel of the regime forces and the  militias loyal to them, including a number of officers, were killed in 17 days since the start of the ground-air offensive against the Islamic State (Daesh) in the southern neighborhoods of the capital Damascus.

Baladi News correspondent in Damascus reported that a number of officers including lieutenants and  lieutenants of honor was among those who were killed in the clashes with Daesh in the neighborhoods of Yarmouk, al Hajar al Aswad, al Qadam and al Asali south od Damascus, during their attempts to break into the neighborhoods controlled by Daesh.

Amaq news agency, linked to the Islamic State, published on Sunday that 35 members of the regime forces were killed during an attack on Daesh sites south of Damascus, some of them were field executed while others were arrested by Daesh. 

Baladi News correspondent added that the missile and artillery shelling of the regime forces continues for the 17th day respectively, targeting areas controlled by Daesh in the neighborhoods of Yarmouk and al Hajar al Aswad south of Damscus.

In a different context, the third convoy of the displaced people of southern Damascus town's have arrived to the Syrian north after an agreement between the opposition factions and Assad regime to regularize those who want to stay and displace the civilian and fighters and their families refusing the agreement, in return of handing over the demarcation lines of the factions with Daesh to the regime.
