The media office of Jaysh al-Izza (Army of Glory) acting in the countryside of Hama issued today a statement in which it announced its withdrawal from the negotiations of "Astana" due to the lack of commitment by Russia as being a guarantor of applying a ceasefire.
The statement attributed the decision of Jaysh al-Izza due to the lack of commitment by Russia as being a guarantor of applying a ceasefire that was signed on 30th of December 2016 and the advancement of sectarian militias on Wadi Barada along with the evacuation of the residents of the villages, let alone the demographic change despite the false Russian promises of not breaking into those villages.
The statement added that due to the bombardment of the Russian warplanes on the headquarters of Jaysh al-Izza along with the surrounding ones which resulted in killing two militants and seriously wounding several others, we declare that we are no more committed to the truce agreement and we will continue defending our land and people until we overthrow Assad's regime.
